HDR Architecture Releases Latest LEED Statistics

HDR Architecture recently announced that its number of LEED Accredited Professionals has reached 780 practitioners. In addition, HDR now has completed 26.9 million square feet of sustainable project work. That figure represents 25 LEED projects, including two Platinum-rated projects, three gold-rated projects, eight silver-rated projects and 12 certified projects.

Currently, HDR has 106 LEED registered projects representing 22.6 million square feet. That total includes 85 LEED for New Construction projects, 13 LEED for Commercial Interiors projects, five LEED Commissioning projects, four LEED for Existing Buildings projects and one LEED for Neighborhood Development pilot project.

HDR has a long history of commitment to advancing sustainable design initiatives. It was one of the first architecture firms to join the U.S. Green Building Council in 1984. The firm recently signed the "Architecture 2030 Challenge," an initiative designed to achieve a dramatic reduction in the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by changing the way buildings and developments are planned, designed and constructed.
