The University of Colorado Hospital (UCH) is the region’s leading tertiary care and referral center. Eager to expand its services but restricted by the confined parameters of the current location, hospital administration elected to build a new, state-of-the-art healthcare campus on the former Fitzsimons Army Medical Base in Aurora, CO. Planned as a four-phase development spanning between 2000-2011, the new UCH campus will ultimately include over 750 beds, consisting of nearly 2 million SF of facilities with a construction value over $500 million. The master plan for the campus will include over $2 billion construction value when completed.
