The newest major research complex for this confidential client will complete an existing mature campus and act as a gateway to a newly expanded campus. Plan organization follows a model previously developed for a neighboring facility designed by HDR CUH2A, with a central service corridor accessing support rooms that serve the adjacent labs and offices located at the perimeter. The layout will encourage casual interaction between disciplines without sacrificing good interior circulation. The project is designed on an east-west axis to maximize heat and light from the sun, improving energy performance.
